I took this picture in the smallest pub of Ghent, it's a really old lil' building and they used to execute people at that place (by hanging them...) that's where the name comes from and why there are dolls like this one hanging there... cruelty towards eachother has always been in the dictionary of human beings... not only during our history, but untill this day we are killing and destroying eachother on different levels: physical, psychological, partly, completely... and so on...

this really is different to your other pictures. I was kinda shocked... even though it is only a doll it looks very cruel... or maybe just on account of this it looks so cruel.

It looks very cruel indeed, and I can imagine you were shocked at first sight, but my confused me tells me that's not a bad thing... maybe I wanted to shock... just a moment, untill the message gets through to the brain... confrontation can make eyes open... I'm a dreamer I know... this shot wont change a single thing... wish it would though... wish there was less cruelty on earth... we got the gift to act and think ethical... sad thing that some people hardly use this gift, on the other hand, there's no general ethical code... I guess... so everyone has his/her own ethics, so who am I to say something about it...
Mannkind can slaughter children with a different colour of skin and start crying when a family member cuts in the finger with a knive... and than it's weird that some people are confused about behavior of human beings?
I liked the shot itself too, didnt think it would come out nice
